Foreign Body By Robin Cook

hey guys,

i am back to the blog after a long time..pretty busy at home..i couldn't finish the book so fast.so it takes almost a month to write my next review.

This time i am back with Robin cook Foreign Body.Again its a coincidence, the story is related to India. Its about the business of medical tourism in India.Medical tourism is the one which produces a vast economy to our country. It is a developing concept where people come for the medical treatments to India. The major treatments are heart surgery, knee transplant and dental problems. For these treatments people come from the countries like USA,UK and Europe. The basic reason behind this is, patients can enjoy the same quality treatments like in their countries with reduced cost.

Now this story starts in India, where an American lady Maria will die after being treated. But this death raises some questions to the Jennifer, grand daughter of Maria.Because she knows about her granny death news before doctors confirmed.she will come to know the news from a news channel.Like this simultaneously two more deaths will continue in the hospital. This makes Jennifer more suspicious and she wants to do autopsy for her granny and other dead bodies too.

The story narration is not interesting..its very dry..and the author didn't maintain any secrecy in the story. We can easily guess what happened,by half way through the book.so read the book if u don't have any options.. But we have appreciate the author for explaining some Hindu culture related to Varanasi.

  1. storyline is v.intersting, dontknow but stories revolving around doctors/helath/death/ autopsy sounds intersting to me...i can adjust with narration if there are few surprises holdup till last...will see if i can get hold of this book...
